I have tried many different avenues to search for an answer to this: I've watched YouTube videos about it, Reddit posts, Google'd it... nothing works. I know that observing your thoughts is the key to meditation but I just can't seem to do it?
I am so attached to my thoughts, it's like my thoughts are ME. It's so hard to have a thought and just say "Oh I'm observing right now, no feeling involved" like what!? How do people do that. What especially pisses me off is when guided meditations say "Now imagine you are the observer of the observer" it just doesn't make sense to me!!
So I'm here because I would love for you to try to explain it in your own words and maybe I'll finally comprehend and be able to put it into practice.
