Can you break your feet by running hard on concrete?

Long story short: I was walking to the gym at 3am yesterday, and was chased by some ugly disgusting piece of shit dog, and I dropped my flip flops and sprinted hard on concrete for several minutes.
One of my toenails was bleeding and split down the middle and I can barely walk as pain shoots up the edges of my feet every time I step.
My Roomate said my left foot looks a little swollen, and the morning after it still hurts.
