Hello all,
I’m hoping some of you can help me out with my career… I have always wanted to go into medical or pharmaceutical sales but don’t know what steps to take to make an entry. My undergrad degree is a BS in Biochemistry and I have Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry research experience. I graduated in 2021, but since 2019 I have worked in banking with a heavy focus in sales. Started out as a part time teller and worked my way up over 4 years to my current role, Branch Manager and Licensed Investment Banker… 5 promotions in the last 2 years. I am very strong in sales (B2B and consumer), great interpersonal skills, and I am extremely driven and ambitious.
I want to now follow my dream and get into Medical or Pharmaceutical sales but am not having any luck. All of the positions require medical sales experience. I have even applied anyway and just get rejected. My sales and B2B sales experience is strong and resume is great so I’m at a loss.
Does anyone have any advice?
