I enrolled in an AHIMA-approved medical coding certificate program. It’s online but courses are in all formats, especially the core science foundational courses.
I got a job offer (not in healthcare) literally around the same time I started the cert program. I’ve been working and studying at the same time and I’ve got to say it has been a rough ride. I don’t know how anyone could work and take online courses at the same time anymore. It used to be that online courses were super easy. They are NOT easy anymore. Before the pandemic they were easy and everyone used to make fun of them. However, since everything and everyone have gone online during the pandemic, online courses just make you do so much reading now. It’s not compatible with a professional employee’s schedule.
It’s a real shame because I really like the course contents so far.
