Try working at a car dealershipā¦..
My liver and waist band took a serious hit when I tried my hand as a car salesman. Alcohol consumption was encouraged and it was customary to seal a deal with a drink ($100k cars)
You would think that there would be strict rules in place for it; but we had a yard hand to move the cars around for us and I would go on test drives half cut some days if Iād been busy.
Then there was the rampant drug use.
What I find most amusing is that everyone took a piss test when they joined the company. I was smoking BM cannabis at the time and pinged positive. The only thing that happened was my manager laughed about it and then offered me a bump - ya know cause the drug screening pointed out the drug users. Every single salesman was on something and the finance manager and store manager were coke fiends.
Had to leave the place because of the toxic environment
Oh there was nothing like testing a new high powered vehicle or going on a course where get to throw cars around a āprivate roadā to see what they can do
