I’ve been on medicaid since 2018 because I was a independent full time student before the pandemic hit and was living on student loans. I’ve had a fulltime job for a year now but am still on medicaid due to the PHE. I expect to be kicked off when the PHE ends.
I plan to go back to school in the next year and I’ll need to go down to part time at my job, which would put me below the income level needed to be eligible for medicaid. However, I would need to have around $15,000 saved in order to afford being on part time hours through the duration of my degree program. Would having this much money in the bank make me ineligible for medicaid? If I get any year end bonuses at work would they possibly cause me to be ineligible due to pushing me slightly above the eligible income limit?
