I missed my re-enrollment, was denied when i reapplied. Can i fix this?

Im 23. I live with my spouse. I was coverd by medicaid most of last year after i injured my back. I went through a depression stage and got kick out of my apt by my previous spouse towards the end of the year.
I missed re enrollment for this year and reinjured my back. I tried to re apply and was denied coverage for missing re enrollment. Is there any hope of fixing this? Or am i bound to pay for my care this year?
