Hi Everyone,
Small Story:
We wanted to buy a house in 2012 so my wife and my mom took a loan out. she lives with us in the same house. We paid off the house in 2021 by working hard and saving all our money. In 2017 she became permanently disabled so we care for her. She never contributed financial in the mortgage. We simply needed help to get the loan. I want to plan ahead and remove her name from the deed so there isn't a estate recovery. She is 63 right now getting Medicaid and Social Security.
Question:
Can I do this without there being a problem in her benefits and avoid estate recovery? We live in the state of New Jersey.
Any suggestion would be greatly helpful.
