[PA] Divorce.. Ex going onto Medicaid?

Post Body

So my ex finally agreed to a settlement (after her dragging it out for 7 years), (we have 3 kids and their staying on my insurance and their primarily with me)

She has been on my insurance this whole time, (she's 45F, and not in the best of health) I honestly think she should qualify for disability. But her and her parents say she doesn't (their issue not mine so okay)

Now that the settlement is finished. She had started the divorce decree then stopped it, the guy she had lined up to marry bailed. And now she's scrambling trying to get me to not finalize the divorce, she just told me tonight she's trying to get onto medicare but that can take 30-90 days ppwk etc..

Meanwhile she's barely been eating, in and out of a bunch of dr's, CT scan on wed.. all sorts of issues.

I don't want her to keel over, she's the mother of our kids etc.. as much as I hate/have lots of issues.

So it becomes the question of whether I continue with my plan and have my lawyer file the final decree friday. Or let her drag it out for a few more months. I'm not a medicare/medicade person I have no idea but I make around 100K, she's making like 20K for the year. And is getting a 50K payout for the house. (most of which is supposed to go to her parents to pay off bills she's run up)

So for one thing if I delay the divorce will my income get included in her medicare calc?

Will I be on the hook for her medicare/medicaid stuff if I don't get it filed quick enough? Not to be an ass, but I've paid over 50K to her over the past 7 years, on top of not getting any help for the kids or anything else. And I need to think of my own ability to pay the bills and take care of our kids.

Any input is appreciated I'm flying blind here, my lawyer is on the side of she dragged it out for 7 years she should have figured out her own insurance years ago. Not your prob - drop her and he has no idea about ramifications of medicare/medicaid.
