I've been looking at the Keychron K1 SE Wireless Mechanical Keyboard and some other low-profile keyboards.

I like the low profile because I plan to put it on top of my laptop keyboard, so I won't be able to use a wrist rest.

I asked the Keychron helpdesk if there were any keycaps available for the board (I had selected the low profile gateron switches) besides the ones that come with it. Even just a replacement, if you needed one for some reason. Nope - apparently there are none.

Admittedly I got inspired to look into mechanical keyboards partly because of the beautiful boards people use.

Is it a problem if there are never any other keycaps made for this board, even replacements?

What's out there for low profile keycaps? Do you think more will be available in the future to suit more types of boards?
