Brother wants to join the cult that is mechanical keyboards, but I’m clueless on what to get him $125 isn’t really nearly enough for a custom. But I’m not sure what to do. We can probably go over the budget just hopefully not by a lot, he can’t justify $300 keyboards just quite yet.

Things that are preferred but not needed because the price might not justify it:

Hotswap Backlighting (preferably RGB, but honestly I’ll take anything) Oh for the love of god, please no clicky switches he hasn’t decided what he likes yet so tactile or linear is great. I know this is a lot but I appreciate any effort or answers, thank you so much in advance
