Title pretty much says it all, just looking to see how you guys do it. This will be my 1st stab at cleaning ALPS & I got a batch of 66 orange ALPS that I really do not want to mess up. Also I'm kinda stuck in between ideals of what to do.
I've read some posts where people just toss all the parts (both housing pcs, both plates, slider, & spring) into the cleaner. I've also read some that suggest using the cleaner just for the the housings & sliders then use 70% or 90% iso alcohol to clean the plates & springs. Not really sure what would be best?
The batch I got is fairly clean overall & very clean inside the switches I have opened so far. That said they were de-soldered & do have some dust/grime on the housings where they met the plate. Also the few switches I have opened so far did have a tiny bit of dust & debris inside them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
