As the title says I'm currently in the market for my second mechanical keyboard after typing on my das keyboard (cherry mx blue) since 2012. After doing a good amount of research I've chosen to go with Vortex's pok3r line of keyboards but I am caught in a loop at which switches to buy. I'm currently really debating between red, clear, or brown switches but really need advice.
I plan to use this keyboard in an open office environment so I'm really trying to emphasize silence, but at the same time want an enjoyable typing experience
Reasoning for each switches
Brown switches
- After typing on blue switches for such a long time, I still want to be able to have the tactile feedback.
Red switches
- This seems to be a great choice for a quiet keyboard since these switches are linear.
Clear switches
- The vast amount of positive reviews from the community make getting this board seems appealing. It also seems to be a pretty quiet board.
I also do plan on putting in some o-rings just to make the keyboard even more quiet.
Also does anyone have any information as to when mechanicalkeyboards.com will restock pok3r keyboards?
thanks everyone!
