The low wages are holding me back
Post Body

Currently pursuing Dental Hygiene but I honestly don’t seem interested anymore.

I’ve been thinking about switching to ME for the past couple months and it’s honestly kept me up some nights.

The only thing holding me back is how underpaid new engineers are.

Like seriously, 50-60k?? for a job that needs 1-3 years of experience??

I know it gets better later on but damn.

I live in LA and I know how to be flexible but ya know I’m trying to live a good life and pursue bigger things later on.

I am 18, turn 19 soon. Very soon.

Edit on 11/3/2024: I plan on switching to mechanical engineering.

Ask for updates and I’ll let you know 👍
