My last post (https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalEngineering/s/7dcjRQXvux) complained about the job search and well I wanted to give an update.
About a month after that last post I was contacted by a couple of companies asking for an interview.
Company one (power supplier) rejected me, the recruiter told me they didn't like how quick I was on my responses even though I made sure that the interviewers knew I was given the list of questions ahead of time and prepared.
Company two (biomedical) contacted me about a week after the interview to let me know a job offer was coming my way, I decided to see if this position was worth it for me and ultimately it was, so I accepted the position and have been there for about a month (i was told that i was hired because of my assumed work ethic and ability to fit many roles, I will continue to thank Formula SAE for some of this). It's different than what I thought it was going to be but it's still a fun job!
I just wanted to update people and thank everyone for the nice (and not so nice) words since they kept me going through this process, I also wanted to tell graduating engineers thst the job market isn't friendly right now but I know you can get the job!
