Is it normal for a lube shop to check your coolant and cap?
Post Body

Long story short, went in for a scheduled oil change and the tech told me while he was checking my coolant, the cap broke off due to acidity of the coolant. He said it needed a flush, new power steering fluid and a fuel service done.

He then showed me the coolant hose and the plastic was all broken and cracked on the radiator it was plugged onto. So I need a whole new radiator too.

While I believe him 100% and can see the damage with my own eyes, it felt like he was really trying to upsell me and I was a little confused why none of the other shops from previous oil changes never brought any of these issues up, It was last inspected only a few months ago

The last lube shop I brought it too said it was the cleanest TSX he'd seen with no issues.

I worry that maybe most of this stuff shouldve just been left alone. But I guess that might cause issues in the longer run..

I just don't know why none of the other shops brought any of these issues up when it was last lubed.

This is a 2006 Acura TSX btw.
