I have a 2017 Ram Promaster 1500.
86,000 miles on it, I bought 6 months ago - built out to live in (now am supposed to be living it it) drove and full timed for 4 months.
Broke down after driving to a trail head at high altitude. 1/2 tank of gas. Normal gas station. Esc light came on heading to trail head. After hike got in to it drive off. Cranked but stalled immediately. Realized if I kept RPMs up I could get out (road closes after next storm so I needed to get out about 1.5 miles).
At the time codes P0300, P0172, P0175.
Flashing check engine light. Oil smelled like fuel. Engine shake. Kept stalling and wouldnât start with out throttle.
Got towed to a shop.Shop tried to screw me (apperently common here also Iâm blonde young and female). Story for another day.
However this mechanic thought fuel injectors. Seemed reasonable. He said fuel pressure was fine.
Found a mechanic âthat could fit me inâ immediately. Lol again another time.
He changed spark plugs and 3x coils (in a month and a half lol).
No change in running status.
After this he said there was a vacuum leaks and âfixed itâ cannot describe vacuum leak. He then thought throttle body wasnât opening. Said diagnosis said it was opening 19%. Really very little faith in this do do. Maybe its right? It seems like symptoms would be different.
Currently getting codes 113, 108, 123, 222, 172, 300, and 303.
ETC light on. Check engine light flashing once when started, second time solid.
Compression test as follows: Cylinder 1 - 110 2 - 110 3 - 0 4 - 110 5 - 70 6 - 110
A leak down test is necessary right?
