Any help appreciated. So my 08 Edges AT is slowly but certainly trying to find its way to a complete self destruction. It has been mentioned in a forum online that I could attempt to save the transmission by draining the tranny fluid by removing its a/t pan. Then, refill the transmission fluid with new fluid and drive a short distance before repeating the process 3 times. On the final trans fluid drain remove and replace two sensors called OSS & RSS with new ones. Also vacuum the remaining old fluid from the transmission dipstick port. Fill with recommended a/t fluid and drive with care as your computer relearns the shifting patterns according to how the vehicle is driven. Iām not a mechanic but Iām thinking if this sounds plausible to someone more knowledgeable than myself I would want to give it a go. Any words of wisdom??? TIA
