Need help with my 2006 Ford Five Hundred Limited
Post Body

I want to start off by saying I know nothing about cars. Also, I dont have alot of money being a broke college kid, so all the service im about to tell you about happened at Walmart.

Ok, to start, we go back a couple months ago when I hit 200,000 miles and got my oil changed. Yesterday, I got my oil changed again, however, I probably waited a little longer than I should have, because the car just hit 204,000. Took it to Walmart, got the oil changed, went to go pick it up and Im pretty sure it ran fine (can’t remember any problems). This happened around lunchtime yesterday.

Then a couple hours later I got hungry and was going to Taco Bell. When I started the car there was a soft hissing noice and I was idling at 1000 rpms, and not the normal 650-750. When I started to drive away, it felt like the emergency brake was on, and I had to give it 2000 rpms just to get it moving forward.

As i was driving, acceleration was really bad, would start going then stop and start again. There is the other feeling about it that hard to describe. When I press the accelerator, it starts going, but if I take my foot off the gas it feels like it still is going for a second, then like lurches forward again like someone hit me from behind.

Also there was one point last night when I did put the gas to the floor, but I only got up to 3000-3500 rpms and I cant go more than 40 mph.

Sorry if any of that was hard to understand. The guy at walmart looked over everything this morning and he told me he didnt find any problems. Thanks for any help or suggestio
