So the odometer/trip computer display in the middle of my instrument panel is dim, during daylight hours it's often entirely unusable as a result.
What are my options for fixing this, ideally cheaply?
I do own a soldering iron and I'm not entirely useless at using it, so I'm open to replacing just the display if that's feasible(like no BGA nonsense). Though if it's a plugin assembly that would be ideal. I'd like to avoid the expense of replacing the entire panel if that's possible. Or if there's a potentiometer or somethign somewhere to adjust brightness that would be great too.
