When car is stopped for long periods
Post Body

I’ve heard when your car is at a stop for a long period of time it tends to be better for the engine if you put it in park, and even better if you have it in neutral. Is this always true?

Some examples of what I’m talking about are when you are at a drive thru that is taking a long time, a long traffic light, waiting for someone you’re picking up to come to the car, etc.
