Is it dumb to get an extra quart of oil for an oil change to flush out some of the old oil still in the engine?
Post Body
A lot of times I will pick up an extra quart just to dump into the motor after draining out the old oil. I figured it would get some (obviously not all) of the old oil out of the motor before putting the plug back on and filling with fresh oil.
