so there are a few small things wrong with my 2003 Honda Accord coupe (automatic, unfortunately) that iā€™d really like to sort out
Post Body

theyā€™re mostly electrical things that donā€™t really affect the operation of the car, but maybe make it more difficult to do soā€¦either that or they just annoy the Cinnamon Toast Fuck outta me so i wanna fix em šŸ™ƒ

1) i have no backlights for any of my radio or HVAC controls, i figure thatā€™s probably just a fuse

2) so the cruise control is weird and sorta old school in these Hondasā€¦you need to first depress the on/off switch to turn on the cruise control system, which illuminates a green light that says ā€˜CRUISE MAINā€™ā€¦to actually set your speed, you use the rocker switch, like many other cars ( /SET and -/RESUME). the issue is, i can turn the cruise master switch on with no problem, but all that happens when i then press the button to set my speed is another green light right next to the ā€˜CRUISE MAINā€™ light that says ā€˜CRUISE CONTROLā€™ (which is supposed to stay illuminated as long as your cruise control is on AND actively engaged) that just flashes on for a split-second, no matter what i try. somebody i saw on some forum suggested testing the integrity of the ā€œcable reelā€ (which iā€™ve never heard of) by getting on a quiet stretch of highway and trying to set your CC while leaning on your horn continuously, and i guess if it works then your cable reel is bad and that was your problemā€¦? either that or maybe a brake pedal switch were the possibilities i found.

i appreciate any input or advice or ideas anyone wants to throw at me, thanks! šŸ™
