I am not terribly experienced with car maintenance but I try to be as much as I can. I have changed my own oil and tires before with no problem and don't mind picking up a wrench or jacking up the car
But I have no real mechanic experience. Is there anything I should know before I do this? It's a 2006 Acura TSX Sedan.
My main concern is that I don't want to pull off the belt, put on the new one and have a host of bigger problems on my hand because I didn't do it correctly.
Right now the belt looks pretty dry and squeaks in the morning on a cold start. I'm thinking it's time to replace.
From what I've gathered watching videos on YouTube, I am basically just pulling the tensioner to loosen the belt and then re-routing the new one on in the same configuration. I hope that is correct.
