Hi everyone, I was not sure If this is the right group to ask but I have zero experience in car mechanic ( even naming car parts) and want to go to trade school to become a car technician. The fun part is I have to get a job as a journeyman first in order to be able even start my university enrolment and I find it hard to think who will hire me when I don’t have experience. I am thinking of going in person to meet the hiring manager or owner of the garage but I don’t know how to convince them or what to say. Is there any tips or advise for me when trying to talk to them and telling them to give me a chance? I am hardworking and dedicated. I am currently in Canada and 28m and work as a housekeeper at a hospital - I want to learn this trade to improve my life situation because I feel that I have always struggle and I want a better job and life skills
