Basically as the title asks. My 2004 Silverado has died on me randomly a few times now and not started, then started again a few minutes later. Mechanic spent a bunch of time scanning and trying to figure it out but didn’t isolate it, and so a failing/faulty fuel pump seems like the only option since when it would die and not start it would crank but not fire.
What should I expect the whole job to run? My estimate I’m going ahead with is a bit under $500 for an AC Delco pump and about twice that for labor. It seems a bit high, but I also seem to remember the fuel tank is a pain to get to on this truck which probably explains it.
Thanks in advance.
