Looking at buying a 2005 DODGE DAKOTA QUAD SLT 4X4 for 2 grand but it has a lifter tick and only have a repair budget of $400.

Over all budget is around 2400, the dealer says its a lifter tick and I can afford to replace them all which is no biggie. Is this worth the 2 grand? In school and can't afford to make the wrong investment.
