Hello,
Having problems with my 2008 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L, 4 cyl manual transmission.
Bought car used in 2012 (80,000 km), as far as I know it still had the original clutch. Clutch was replaced in Nov 2017 (~180,000 km) with a new one. About 6 months ago the clutch started slipping (barely), and has been getting worse ever since. Currently 210,000 km on the vehicle. Seems to have stopped getting worse but it will slip under anything more than medium throttle in 2nd gear or above. No weird smells, pedal feels normal.
I find it very hard to believe the clutch is worn out already given my first one lasted at least 80k, possibly 180k.
My normal mechanic today looked at it but they don't do transmissions so he wasn't too sure what is going on. He said it's an "electric clutch" which was a bit surprising.
I'm having a hell of a time finding any info online that is helpful. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great on what might be going on, and if there is anything I can check/do myself.
Can't justify the cost of a new clutch, so at this point the car will be scrap or someone else's problem.
