So for the past week I've been having inconsistent voltage spikes. I've noticed it only happens if I let my truck get cold soaked (as in down to 0 over night or multiple days w/o being pulled in.) When it does start to spike it does it relatively randomly until the engine gets to normal operating temp then more or less ceases. I upgraded my grounds and leads for the batteries to 2/0 a few months back so it cannot be corrosion. I also double check the grounds are snug. What else could cause these spikes other that the rectifier in the alternator?
