Instrument panel cluster and turn signals not working
Post Body

I am having a bit of an issue with my 2004 Ford Focus ZTS and was hoping r/mechanicadvice could help me figure out the root cause of my issue:

Upon turning they key to auxiliary power, and running the instrument panel is unresponsive. No movement from any of the gages, no flash of warning lights upon starting (only exception is airbag light does light up upon starting), and digital odometer is blank. The turn signals controls do not register either, however the wiper controls work fine.

I haven't been driving the Focus due to the issues, but there was a day I was in a pinch and needed to. After about 15 minutes or so of freeway driving everything came to life and worked fine for a few days. After three days the same issues came back. I'm thinking I may have a wiring issue, since it's intermittent.

Also if it helps I changed the ignition cylinder about two years ago, and replaced the battery last month.
