I've neglected the work needed to be done on the front suspension since I bought the car five years ago. As of now she is just shy of 250,000mi and hasn't had it touched at all as far as I know. The symptoms are grinding, lack of power steering, power steering whine, and the steering wheel does not return to center. My best guess at the largest problem is failing ball joints along with everything else being old and or broken. I've decided to just replace the entire suspension system. Remind me if I'm forgetting anything important.
- Power Steering Pump
- Remanned Rack
- Upper Control Arms
- Lower Control Arms
- Ball Joints
- Struts
- Springs
- Bushing
- Upper Mounts
I've also decided I'm doing brakes when all that is being done. So add this to the list
- Calipers
- Rotors
- Pads
Please help me by reminding me of other stuff I should do while I'm under it or anything you feel would be important. I appreciate all the help. I have waited to have a lift at my disposal to do all this and I finally got access to one.
