Wire from back of alternator to main fuse melted

I took my truck to Mieneke to have it diagnosed a few days ago, found the wire from the back of my alternator had melted so I replaced the alternator and the wire going to the main fuse. Now a couple days later it has melted again. What would be causing this issue?
