Vehicle comes close to stalling when shifting into drive, yet functions fine in reverse and neutral.
Post Body

The vehicle in question is a 2003 Ford Escape V6 and just as the title states, the car will sometimes bog down and come close to stalling when shifting into drive but not in reverse or neutral. Also, once I give it a little throttle to go forward after shifting into drive, all is well again. No stalling at stop lights or while idling and the idle is relatively stable at 760-850 RPM depending on AC.

Thanks in advance in for any information or thoughts!
