Gear linkage advice

Hey, I've just had my gear linkage changed, As the cables snapped on Friday.
I have a MK2.5 focus, Just got it back today and it goes into gear very easily now but when it goes into gear the shifter doesn't stay in 1st, 2nd, 5th or reverse. It jumps into the middle but stays in gear. Just jumps into the middle.
I can drive with it but been told it's not right, Any ideas? I don't really want the car being away for another day as I need it for work.
