For the past week or so my 2008 Hyundai Sonata (175K miles) has had trouble starting in the morning. I'll go to turn the key, the engine turns over but doesn't start. I'll turn the key again and then it starts. But it only does this 50% of the time. Some mornings the car starts without hesitation.
This morning however it took me two turns of the key for it to start. Which is why I'm concerned the problem is getting worse. This only happens first thing in the morning, throughout the day I have zero issues starting it. Also seems more likely to happen when the weather is colder (50-60°F).
Any insight and ideas what the problem could be is appreciated. The battery is new (replaced about 6-8 months ago) and the starter should also be good.
