My BRZ trunk won’t open

This seems like a very specific question so let’s see how much help I can really get. My BRZ trunk won’t pop. When I use the key fob or the interior trunk button, my trunk doesn’t pop, but when I use my physical key to unlock it, it opens no problem. I know the BRZ has the “Safe Trunk” mode or whatever you wanna call it, but I already checked if that was the case and nothing changed. Any ideas?
