Need Advice Finding Entry-Level Tech Job
Post Body

As the title says I’m looking to get my foot in the door somewhere but am having some trouble. Some background, I am 26 y/o, I have about a year of dealership experience in inspections and reconditioning/parts. I am currently enrolled at my local community college taking courses through their auto service program and have one semester down. So far i’ve completed the basic intro course, electrical systems and a fabrication class. this semester i’m taking brake systems, engine systems and high performance engines. I am getting all A’s but I know it’s kind of useless without experience. it feels like it doesn’t mean shit when i’m not utilizing it regularly or using it to gain experience at a job. Does anybody have any advice on how to get my foot in the door somewhere for an apprenticeship or anything? I am considering tire tech or lube tech of course but around where i am they aren’t paying more than $15/hr which I wouldn’t be able to support myself on in my current living situation. Any and all advice is appreciated! Thanks
