- 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo
I came home the other day from a normal errand, pulled into my carport, and heard these loud clanking sounds…Since then, it won’t start.
After seeing that my oil was REALLY low (and prior to service time), I assumed my engine locked up and I just need a new vehicle.
I’m still getting a new vehicle, but would like to see if I can get this thing runnin’. Found a way to check the starter by bypassing the starter solenoid, and this is what happened. Seems like the starter is working, but It’s the same sound/action as when I try to use the key.
Any other thoughts? …or is this vehicle (that has given me problems since I got it) toast??? TIA
