Does Seafoam work while idling?

I want to treat my fuel system w Seafoam. My Winnebago has less than a quarter tank of gas and a very inaccurate fuel gauge.
In order to not run out of gas driving it around, getting stranded, is it ok to let it idle in the driveway?
The other reason I can't drive it around too far is because it's out of inspection, so I was thinking of going around on my neighborhood country roads.
But if I can leave it in the driveway, I prefer that.
