4 post "drive on" lift vs 2 post lift, which do you prefer for what kind of work?
Post Body

I'm building my dream garage and I have chosen my two post lift that will most definitely exist. Grandpa has expressed that a 4 post lift is way more convenient and desirable in most cases, but I only have experience with 2 post lifts.

My personal projects range from Corvettes to big pickups, and the only time I can imagine choosing to use a 4 post would be doing fluid changes on the c5 Corvette, because it's more difficult to get on a 2 post lift.

Then trying to decide about length and width, I can't imagine I'd ever really care to put a big truck on the 4 post, it's so easy to put a truck on the 2 post and if I'm just changing the oil I don't need anything fancy at all, just use a creeper right?

School me, what is the usefulness of a four post that I'm missing?
