I have a 2013 Dodge Challanger I just picked up. My trunk latch looks almost mint condition (as does most of the car itself) but it works very intermittently. It will open, it will latch with no issues. there are no debris or anything blocking the clinoid.
The best way that I know how to describe this is like the thing has a capacitor. (Im mechanically clueless so if it does I literally have no idea but something tells me it does not) When the capacitor (yes im a dummie) is charged, it works, but then it dies out and needs to be recharged.
Its weird I know. It will open up but then the motor slowly dies and then does nothing. If I let it sit a bit itll open again, then slowly die out and not work.
Do I just need a new latch, or is this a wiring issue? Like I said everything looks mint, basically new. This car was barely used in its life.
