Did I mess up my transmission by letting the engine run on park with no fluid?
Post Body

So my transmission in my 2008 silverado leaked all fluid while driving. It stopped responding due to no fluid. Not sure from where exactly it leaked yet but it literally left a trail of transmission fluid to the place I was able to pull over.

Call me a noob but I was sitting in my car for a good 20 minutes with the engine running on park not aware that the pump is always working while the vehicle is on. So just want to know if the pump is most likely messed up by running 20 min with no fluid in it. It didn't make any strange noises it just didn't engage. Feeling so dumb right now.
