What causes a car to not start with the correct ignition coil fuse?
Post Body

Used beat up car I bought. It came with a 30amp fuse for the ignition coil.

Changed it to the correct fuse which is a 10. Didn't try to start it immediately but when the I tried the car cranked but would not start.

Switch back to the 30 fuse and it started. Put in a 20 and it started. Put in a 15, it started. Finally placed the correct 10 fuse and it started.

Could the wrong fuse have done any damage?

Why would the correct fuse not work the first time?
