I have a 2005 Chevy Colorado that just hit 180k. The transmission never slips and has always seemed solid. There was a small whining noise whenever there was any pressure on the clutch, even if it was me just resting my foot on it. Also, about 5000 miles ago there has been a rattling noise whenever Iโm decelerating between 10-30mph. None of these problems bothered me but the past couple of days itโs been really hard to get the truck into gear. Before I was able to hold the clutch down 3/4 and smoothly shift into gear but now Iโm having to put the clutch to the floor and slam the gears. Can someone give me some suggestions as to what I can do to fix this.
