Hey everyone,

So I just got my alternator replaced and my car still has the single click without starting. The mechanic said that the starter is to blame, not the alternator. I still paid him though since the alternator has 90000 miles on it and is 12 years old, which, from what I read, is about when it should be changed. Anyway, the mechanic was saying that replacing the starter requires a couple hours of work and includes replacing a bunch of gaskets and manifolds. Was he being truthful or is the process easier and more straightforward? If so, about how much and how long does the labor typically go for? And is the shitty duralast starter suitable for this car?
