Hello everyone. I have a 2003 Ford F150 with 109,000 miles. 4.6 engine, 5 speed, 4x4. Really clean truck. Last month it popped a spark plug, and my Father (who is a fleet mechanic) installed a timesert type repair to get me on the road. Yesterday, it popped 2 more plugs within about 30 mins of each other. I'm a Ag mechanic, so I pulled all the coils and plugs. They were all living on borrowed time. I can't afford to take this to a shop right now and my Father isn't super keen on doing the work OR loaning me his kit.
Is this engine a lost cause at this point, is there a plug with larger threads I could drill and tap for?
Any Advice appreciated.
