Single metallic clunk on initial acceleration or deceleration
Post Body

I have a 2016 Ford Escape and am having the damndest time sorting out this sound. When I initially accelerate, I get a single loud clunk sound from I think the front left side. And then when I decelerate, I hear the same sound. It’s just one single clunk when the momentum of the car shifts forward or backward. The dealer said they thought it was a lower control arm and they replaced it - still happens. Does anyone have any thoughts? It’s driving me nuts. It used to only happen when it was wet out but now is happening daily regardless of the weather. I’d be very grateful for any advice.
