What steps do I take to get an old 86 ford ranger running again? Hasn’t driven since 2016
Post Body

Hello, I’ve got an 86 ford ranger with a 2.3L 4 cylinder, manual transmission. Truck hasn’t been driven since 16’ due to a water line breaking and the motor getting hot. I’m looking to fix it up and restore it over time. What are the first steps I need to take? I know I’ll need to clean the fuel tank and replace the fuel filter. I’m really hoping the heat didn’t mess up the head gasket or piston seals. It’s a 2.3 efi 4 spark plug truck if that helps 2wd
