Not sure if this is off topic but I’m looking for some advice about becoming a mechanic. I used to be in car sales and eventually moved on to doing vehicle inspections and reconditioning. I have since left that job and am in an unrelated field but want to go back to working with cars. I’ve been looking at Ivy Tech and Lincoln Tech for schooling. Should I also try to grab a lube tech job just to get some basic experience or maybe a collision repair job? There’s a few opportunities near me for entry level positions in collision repair and the standard jiffy lube/valvoline tech. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
