What's the best piece of advice you would give a new car owner?
Post Body

Hi all,

I'm 27F, just bought my first car--2014 Nissan Versa Note, 60k miles. I know almost nothing about cars--just what my brother told me: "Get your oil changed every 3-6 months or every 5,000 miles." I know I have to do a lot of research on my own about how to maintain a car and such, but I'm not sure where to start or what to take most seriously. So, I figured I'd ask: what's the most important thing, in your mind, for a new car owner to know or do?

Some background info: I live in Florida and don't plan to do long car trips up north, so cold weather advice is not particularly needed, I don't think. I live in a small town and the car will mostly be used to commute to work and just drive around town, with occasional trips 20 or so miles away.

Thanks so much!!!
